Okay, now for Tigger. I wasn't there and this is what I received via phone... during Tigger's first run he crashed, got up and ran in. His hock was dislocated (wasn't sure if it was a break or dislocation at the time). Kassi (my sister) stayed back to run the rest of the dogs while someone drove mom to the vets with him. There were not able to do anything with it on the field as it wouldn't budge so they wrapped it up and were off. At the vets, they put him under anesthia and were able to set it. From the way it popped back in they were sure it's a dislocation. It's now set and wrapped up and mom got back to the field with him, he's resting comfortably and doesn't seem to be in any distress. Mom was going to come home tonight and then take him to the a great vet in GA tomorrow, but with it popping back in place easily and him being comfortable (and her not getting ANY sleep lately) they are going to stay for tomorrow and then he will see our vet this weekend or on Monday to see if there was any tendon or ligiment damage. We've experienced a VERY similar injury with Sweet Pea years ago while racing, but with her she ran into a pack of dogs at the end and then was squished by the other pack of dogs coming in and her tendons and ligiments were basically gone and not repairable. We drove all night to Dr. Radcliffe's in WV and he was wonderful. But the difference with her was even after it was set back (it was also a dislocation) it wouldn't hold as there was nothing there to stabalize it (tendons and ligiments I'm speaking of) So we are hoping that this difference with Tigger means there is no or little damage to his ligiments and tendons. He also never once screamed or cried about it - a very stoic boy he is. This is Kassi's boy and is tending to his every need right now. Keep him in your thoughts and we will keep you updated on him and what the vets say.

On another note, we are VERY happy with little Miss Helen (Rupert x Fiona) This is only her second time running in Open and her first points!!! GiGi also finished her LCX, our first LCX titled dog!!!
